What's the weather like in Dubai in April?
Dubai has hot weather all year round thanks to its position in the United Arab Emirates on the Persian Gulf Coast. Things are getting hotter in April as summer approaches, and temperatures rise quickly as the month goes on. It’s still quite a bit cooler than the scorching summer though, so it’s a great time to visit if this sounds appealing to you.
Desert Dubai
Dubai sits in the Arabian Desert close to the Tropic of Cancer, which brings the city its hot and dry weather that doesn't cool down much even over winter. The local area’s mostly sandy desert, a sharp contrast to the modern city. April’s more comfortable than summer, although the occasional sandstorm can blow in from Saudi Arabia because of strong north westerly winds.
Averages
The average high temperature in Dubai during April is 33ºC, so you can look forward to spending lots of time in the sun. You won’t need to bring too many warm clothes with you as things stay warm at night, while the expected sea temperature’s a warm 25ºC. Humidity’s high and rainfall’s typically 7mm over two days. You can expect 13 hours of daylight with ten long hours of sunshine each day, while UV levels will be extreme so pack plenty of high factor sun cream. Sunset’s around 6.45pm.
