The best beaches in Ibiza Town

You're in Ibiza Town and craving some sea and sand, so where do you go? Well, how about the cream of the crop: Ibiza's longest beach, Playa d'en Bossa. It's just four kilometres away, easy to get to, and has a variety of water sports and other things to do, with changing moods along its length.

While some parts are full of families playing, the middle section has more of the beach party vibe Ibiza's so well-known for, with beach bars pumping out music for the clubbers chilling out in the sunshine. You'll find the quietest area further along, near the old watchtower.

For something closer to town and completely family friendly, sandy Figueretas Beach is about 15 minutes' walk (or a short bus ride) from the centre of Ibiza Town. You'll be within a few steps of the restaurants and bars that line the pretty promenade and the craft stalls there make it easy to pick up some holiday souvenirs too.

But if you're looking forward to an adult-only holiday, you'll probably prefer Talamanca beach, past Ibiza Town's marina. Close to the famous Pacha nightclub, this curving sandy bay has a cosmopolitan atmosphere that's especially popular with adults.
