Playa de Alcudia Beach

Playa de Alcudia is the largest beach in all Balaeric Islands, with seven kilometres of sandy shoreline for holidaymakers to enjoy. And there are plenty of facilities to make your visit more comfortable, including beach bars and restaurants, toilets, showers, car parks, sunbeds and parasols, watersports, and even Wi-Fi!

Playa de Alcudia Beach boasts a Blue Flag, an international award presented to the best beaches. The Blue Flag Award considers things like water quality, safety and services, and environmental management.

How to get there

It’s easy to get to the beach by hire car or bus from all over Majorca. Depending on your hotel or resort, you might also be able to hop on a shuttle or day trip to the beach. You can find shady parking along Carretera d’Artà, the road running parallel to the shoreline if you’re driving to the beach. Just don’t forget to pay and display!

Facilities

With seven kilometres of sandy shore to choose from and an average 80-metre width, it’s easy to find your perfect spot on this Majorcan beach. There’s a boardwalk to enable easier access for pushchairs and wheelchairs, so the whole family can enjoy a day at the beach!

Playa de Alcudia Beach is one of the most popular spots on Majorca. Thanks to its size, it never feels too busy. Still, its demand means lots of clean and considerate facilities for visitors, including public toilets and showers to freshen up after a long day in the sun.

Watersports

If you’re an adrenaline-seeker, you can find plenty of thrills when you visit Playa de Alcudia Beach. Watersports here include diving expeditions, banana boats, kiteboarding, and more. For a gentler way to enjoy the ocean, hop on a short boat trip or take out a pedalo. Whatever way you take to the sea, watersports are an excellent way to cool off and see more of the beach.

Restaurants and bars

Spending a day sunning and swimming is an excellent way to work up an appetite. Thankfully, there are plenty of restaurants and bars at Playa de Alcudia to hit reset and enjoy delicious refreshment.

Grab a bite, an ice cream, or a drink from Beach Bar Balneario 3, Beach Bar Paraíso, Banana Republic Bar, or one of many other spots along the seven-kilometre beach. Or head into the port to stroll around plenty of tempting bars, cafés, and restaurants. The beach is so large, you won’t have any trouble finding a new spot to settle down after lunch, so pack up when the sun’s at its hottest and find a shady table to cool off and refuel.
